The District of North Saanich is inviting residents to attend two information sessions on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at Municipal Hall to learn more about the latest changes to the Draft Zoning Bylaw.
The Zoning Bylaw sets out how land and buildings can be used throughout North Saanich. The proposed updates are intended to support the District’s long-term planning objectives, as outlined in the Official Community Plan, while ensuring the bylaw reflects current community needs and priorities.
These changes may be of interest to:

- Homeowners considering future development options
- Builders and developers
- Agricultural landowners
- Business owners
- Residents interested in growth and land-use planning

Information Session Times
- 12:00 to 3:00 p.m.
- 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
The drop-in sessions will be hosted at Municipal Hall (1620 Mills Road) by District staff and will include display boards, copies of the Draft Zoning Bylaw and light refreshments. Staff will be available to answer questions and explain the latest changes to the draft.
The Draft Zoning Bylaw will be presented to Council at its Regular Meeting on Monday, September 21, 2026.
Providing Feedback to Council
To meet Council’s requested timeline, residents wishing to provide written feedback on the Draft Zoning Bylaw are asked to submit their comments by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 17.
Submitting comments by this deadline will allow feedback to be compiled and provided to Council as a late item for the September 21 Regular Meeting.

Residents may also attend the Regular Meeting of Council on Monday, September 21 and speak during the public participation period.
These are the final opportunities for residents to provide feedback on the Draft Zoning Bylaw before Council considers adoption in early October.
