The District of North Saanich is inviting residents to provide written feedback on the proposed housing directives and enhanced reporting requirements outlined in a letter from the Minister of Housing and Municipal Affairs dated June 16, 2026. The proposed directives were informed by a Housing Advisor Report which examined the District of North Saanich’s progress towards meeting its Provincially mandated housing targets.
The District has requested a two-week extension to the response deadline to allow sufficient time to finalize a thoughtful and comprehensive response.
Residents are encouraged to review the following documents:

Residents wishing to provide comments are invited to email corporateservices@northsaanich.ca no later than Wednesday, July 22, 2026.
All feedback received by the deadline will be considered as the District finalizes its response to the Minister.
