The application period for voting by mail is open for in person pick-up until October 16, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.
If you requested a mail ballot before September 28, 2026, 4:00 PM, the district will send out mail ballot packages on or about September 30, 2026, to ensure that you receive your mail ballot in a timely fashion. A request for mail ballot after the deadline, will only be available for pickup at Municipal Hall.
Please note, that once you request a mail ballot, you will not be issued another ballot for this election.
If your name is not on the Voters List at the time you apply for a mail ballot, you will be required to complete an application to register as a Resident Elector OR an application to register as a Non-Resident Property Elector, whichever applies. The applicable forms will be included in your package. For more information on Voter Eligibility visit the Province of BC’s website.
To be counted for the election, your completed ballot must be received by the Chief Election Officer no later than 8:00 PM on Saturday, October 17, 2026.
Canada Post may change or suspend the on-time delivery during peak periods due to causes beyond their reasonable control and can include, but not limited to acts of God, epidemics, labour disruptions, equipment failures, unanticipated surges in volume and weather.
The completed sealed mail ballot package may also be returned to Municipal Hall, by courier or in-person during office hours, or in the mailbox outside the front door, or hand delivered to the Chief Election Officer, or designate, up until 8:00 PM, on Saturday, October 17, 2026.
