The District of North Saanich is reminding residents that dumping green waste on roadsides, boulevards and other public property is not permitted.
The District has recently observed several instances of green waste being dumped in the community, including near the Derrick Road cul-de-sac. Some material has been deposited directly on top of utility water meter boxes, creating concerns for District crews who require clear access for inspection, maintenance and repairs.
Residents are asked to dispose of branches, leaves, grass clippings and other eligible yard waste appropriately.
The North Saanich Green Waste Facility is available to residents for the disposal of eligible green waste. Facility hours and information on accepted materials are available at:
