The nomination period for the 2026 General Local Election opens at 9:00 a.m. on September 1, 2026, and closes at 4:00 p.m. on September 11, 2026. During this period, eligible individuals wishing to run for the offices of Mayor, Councillor, or School Trustee may submit their nomination documents to the Chief Election Officer.
Nomination documents must be received by the Chief Election Officer no later than 4:00 p.m. on September 11, 2026. Following the close of nominations, election officials will review submissions and confirm the official list of candidates.
