Property Tax Deferment
As of 2020, the District is no longer responsible for accepting property tax defermentapplications.
The B.C. government has launched an online application service for residential home owners to apply for property tax deferment on their primary residence.
Property owners make outstanding utility payments to the municipality.
Homeowners needing support to complete an application can phone 1-888-355-2700 (toll-free within Canada) or 250-387-0555 (outside Canada).
Individuals wanting in-person assistance can go to any Service BC Centre and have an agent provide information on the deferment program. There are over 60 Service BC Centres throughout the province. See list of Service BC Centres.
Visit the B.C. Government website for more information: www.gov.bc.ca/propertytaxdeferment
PLEASE NOTE: Current year deferment amounts will not show up on your tax notice (this applies to new applications and auto-renew). Please log in to your eTaxBC account with the province to check the status of your new or auto-renew deferment application, or call the province at 1-888-355-2700.
