To improve emergency access and create safer roadside parking for peak summer traffic, construction will take place on Glynnwood Park Road from Glenelg Ave to 9755 Glynnwood Park Road. Construction is scheduled to begin on July 14.
The District will be widening the road and improving drainage, bringing the road up to current standards. Glynnwood Park Road provides access to Briarwood Beach, a popular destination for residents during the summer. These changes will make it easier for emergency vehicles to access the road and also provide safer roadside parking during heavy summer use - and make it safer for pedestrians and cyclists, too.
Temporary parking will be available along Glenelg Avenue and Ardmore Drive.
Once construction begins, the road will be restricted to alternating one lane traffic. Expect minor delays.
