Island Asphalt will be completing pavement repairs on sections of West Saanich Road and Downey Road on Tuesday, October 20, and Thursday, October 22, 2026.
The work will involve milling and repaving isolated sections of asphalt and will take place in the following areas:
- West Saanich Road: Wain Road to Clayton Road
- Downey Road: Various sections along the length of the road
- West Saanich Road: Ardmore Drive to Willingdon Road
Work will begin Tuesday on West Saanich Road between Wain Road and Clayton Road, followed by Downey Road and then West Saanich Road between Ardmore Drive and Willingdon Road.
Single-lane alternating traffic will be in effect in active work areas. Drivers should use caution, follow traffic-control directions and allow extra time when travelling through the area.
Milling and repaving addresses localized areas of deteriorating pavement before more extensive repairs are required, helping to preserve the roadway.
