After 15 years of service to North Saanich, Councillor Celia Stock has decided not to seek re-election this fall.

First elected in 2011, Councillor Stock went on to serve four terms on Council, winning re-election in 2014 and 2022 and being acclaimed in 2018.

Throughout those years, she has been a dedicated advocate for North Saanich and its rural and agricultural character, while also representing the District on numerous local and regional committees.

Celia brought an extraordinary depth of public-service experience to the Council table, including a 38-year career with the Government of Canada, work with First Nations through treaty and self-government negotiations, and earlier municipal service as an Alderman in Yellowknife.

She has also been deeply involved in her community as a volunteer and longtime member of the Peninsula Singers.

Thank you, Councillor Stock, for 15 years of service, commitment, and dedication to North Saanich.

We wish you all the very best in your next chapter.
