Dunsmuir Lodge Rezoning

In February, 2016 the District received an application from the McElhanney Consulting Services on behalf of UVic Properties, owners of the Dunsmuir Property, to amend the Official Community Plan and Zoning Bylaw in order to revert a portion of the property (11.30ha) back to the original use, a mental health and addiction treatment facility.

A key part of the proposal is for UVic Properties to transfer the remaining 29.94 hectares of the property to the Pauquachin First Nation.

The applicant team has undertaken some community consultation efforts, including community meetings, flyer mail-outs, and newspaper advertisements.
