Lochside Regional Trail

This picturesque multi-use trail, much of which was formerly a railway line, stretches from Swartz Bay to Victoria.  The Lochside Regional Trail traverses urban and working agricultural areas and some sections follow or cross public roadways.  Please use caution and obey traffic rules on roads and at road crossings.

The Lochside Regional Trail is both a popular commuting route and the perfect way to enjoy a Sunday ride through the heart of the Saanich Peninsula.  Take the opportunity to stop at one of the nearby beaches on the way or enjoy ocean views from the trail itself.
