At low tide, the rocky and sandy shores of North Saanich are a beachcomber’s delight. Tide pools reveal tiny crabs, starfish and other sea creatures. Sea lions, seals, dolphins and the occasional pod of killer whales parade by North Saanich shores. Blue Heron, Eagles and other sea birds are sighted on a regular basis. People are also drawn to the shoreline by the views of passing ferries, marine traffic and our fabulous west coast sunsets.
