Neighbourhood Summary
The Deep Cove Neighbourhood shares a small commercial centre with the adjacent Cloake Hill / Horth Hill Neighbourhood with active gathering places at the Deep Cove Market and St. Johns United Church. There is an active agricultural sector ranging from commercial scale to smallholdings. Two well-equipped playgrounds are accessible and the Neighbourhood contains a playing field with tennis courts. There are three small natural parks or green spaces and others are accessible in the Cloake Hill / Horth Hill Neighbourhood. The Neighbourhood contains 8 developed beach accesses, 5 of which are recommended for swimming and 3 for launching kayaks. Scattered through the Neighbourhood are walking trails totaling 4.2 km in length. In summer the swimming beaches are heavily used by both local residents and by visitors from the Peninsula and Greater Victoria. |
