The Memorial Park Society owns and manages Blue Heron Park in the McDonald Park Road area.  This non-profit organization was originally founded in 1921 and re-established in 1985.

Blue Heron Park

This 39 acre park is popular for outdoor sporting events such as baseball and soccer.  The entrance to Blue Heron Park is located north of Parklands School off McDonald Park Road.  Facilities at the park include playing fields, picnic tables, washrooms and washing trails.
