One Federal park, operated by Parks Canada is located within North Saanich. McDonald Park is conveniently located approximately 1 kilometre from the Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal on McDonald Park Road (near Hwy. 17).
McDonald Park
This 50 acre park provides an attractive, wooded campground with 49 campsites. Other facilities include pit toilets, water and picnic tables. After being part of the Provincial parks system for many years, McDonald Park became part of Gulf Islands National Park Reserve of Canada when it was officially established on May 9, 2003.
