Getting Involved

Are you interested in becoming involved with your local government? If so, there are many useful ways in which you can contribute to the various activities that are managed by the District of North Saanich. Here are just a few…

Write to the North Saanich Council about an issue that you think needs their attention, or attend a Council or Committee of the Whole meeting (see the Public Involvement Handbook for more information).
Apply to be a member of one of the District’s advisory committees (see Committees, Commissions, Etc. for more information).
Volunteer for the District’s Adopt-a-Park program to assist with the maintenance of one of our many beautiful North Saanich parks, beach accesses, or trails.
Become a volunteer firefighter to help keep North Saanich safe and beautiful (Volunteer Fire Department Application).

There are many ways in which you can get involved with your local government. If you have an idea other than those listed above, please send us your ideas using the District's Feedback form. Your ideas are always encouraged and welcomed.
